2025 Oregon Commercial Troll Salmon Season begins!!

The boat is nearly ready. it has been a struggle finding the time to get everything done. Zac has decided to spend this season fishing with me and learning a lot more about how to navigate and make crucial decisions on the water. It is the best thing. He has abandoned his hope of running alongside me in his vessel the Colby Lee. Lets get another season under his 20 year old beltline! Last years entire season solo at sea for salmon was exhausting!! I will definitely be able to use his help on the boat this season!!

Tomorrow we will be running for supply. We will supply our vessel the James Lee with the foods and items needed at sea for a trip of up to 7 days. The salmon gear is all loaded up and the electronics, safety equipment,  fuel, water and general vessel supply is all put away. Final preparations at the home need to be finished up. Both of us have our “honey do’s” to take care of before a harmonious departure can be made.

We will be video documenting these trips and sending all the raw footage off to the producers of Fish Mongers. We hope they find our videos interesting enough to include them somehow in upcoming episodes. See us on Season 4 Episode 3 “Oregon Albacore”….Zac and I are at our best catching albacore and showing how its done! Lets do that for Salmon now! We are excited for the chance to participate!
